Kelix / Market comparison

Kalshi vs Polymarket: compare the contract, then the price.

To compare Kalshi and Polymarket odds, first match the settlement rules and outcome. Then compare executable quotes, timestamps, fees and liquidity on the same basis.

Are they asking exactly the same question?

Similar titles do not guarantee equivalent contracts. Check the outcome, deadline, resolution source, cancellation rules and treatment of ties or overtime. A difference in the contract can explain a difference in price.

What price can you actually trade?

Compare the ask when buying and the bid when selling. A last trade may be old; a midpoint is between the bid and ask. Keep the outcome and quote type consistent across platforms. Check both the quote timestamp and the size available at that price.

A worked example

Suppose two equivalent binary contracts pay $1 for the same winning outcome. One has a 55-cent ask and the other a 58-cent ask. Before fees, the first costs $55 for 100 contracts and the second costs $58. Both would pay $100 if the outcome wins. This is an illustrative calculation, not a live quote or an arbitrage claim.

Account for all costs

Platform fees and execution costs can change the comparison. Use the current fee schedule for the exact market and order type. Availability, account eligibility and market access also depend on the platform and your location; check the platform directly.

Where Kelix fits

Kelix Lines puts available matched market prices beside model estimates. Neither platform is always cheaper, and a higher model estimate does not guarantee a winning trade. Use our odds calculator to compare formats and inspect the assumptions before drawing a conclusion.
